About

For myself, having grown up with a mom who stayed home and raised her kids all while spending her spare time crafting, it was my mom that opened my eyes to the world of crafts. It was growing up with a crafty mom that I was able to see how many types of crafts there are and just how unlimited the possibilities are. It taught me to be humble and appreciate the level of time and money that goes into crafting. It has taught me what it means to make, give, and receive homemade items and just how priceless they can be. So, it comes as no surprise that, that passion was passed on to me.

With that passion came a love for a wide variety of crafting. My mom taught me to cross stitch, work with plastic canvas, some wood work, painting, sewing, some drawing, and everything else in between. It wasn’t until my adult years that I then taught myself how to knit and crochet. From there I was taught how to spin fiber into yarn. With Pinterest I have an ever growing collection of craft ideas and materials. The older I got, the more craft supplies I got but it slowed down when I met my husband to be.

In 2005 I married my wonderful husband Keith, and we started our family shortly, thereafter, having 2 amazing girls. In 2016 we had an amazing opportunity to move our family to Ketchikan Alaska. After many prayers, God showed us that this was the right move for our small family. Upon arriving, we immediately fell in love with Ketchikan and planted roots. After seeking God’s wisdom and my husbands blessings, I felt that we had to open our craft store. Keith came on board after watching the amount of hours I was always putting into crafting and the joy it brought me. So, in the summer of 2023 we teamed up and set up our store and are now a small family-owned business out of Ketchikan Alaska. Our desire is to bring the ability of crafting to our small, isolated island in the Panhandle of Alaska and offer a place for people to craft that otherwise don’t have one, as well as a variety of unique, hard to find craft supplies on our island. The hope is to bless as many people as possible.
